2020 Fashion Trade Shows | Wholesalers For Boutiques

If you are wondering how to buy wholesale or how to sell wholesale, you must attend trade shows and apparel markets!

Trade Shows are a major source of inspiration and empower you to stay abreast of emerging fashion trends and emerging brands in the fashion industry. Attending trade shows is truly an inspirational high and I strongly encourage retailers and boutiques to attend to discover new products and ways to refresh their assortment, and for brands to attend as exhibitors to connect with new buyers, boutiques, and industry mavens, and to stay competitive in their market.  Before you jump on the next trip to China to find manufacturers, you must make sure you have first attended national trade shows – I promise you will thank me.  It makes searching for wholesale clothing for boutique owners drastically easier and more cost-effective.

If you have been thinking about attending a trade show to find wholesalers for boutiques, but are unsure where to start, join Storefront Success™, our coaching program hosted by our founder DeAnna McIntosh.

And I beg you – DO NOT buy merchandise vendor lists.

There are millions of products and vendors worldwide available to do business with. A vendor list means you are purchasing the same vendors that hundreds or even thousands of other boutiques are – hence competing with one another and not creating your own brand identity – which is not a sustainable business model.  If you’ve had thoughts about purchasing a vendor list, I would recommend you ask yourself what your passion is – is it to just make money or is it to serve unique and curated pieces to your customers?  The most exciting part of owning a boutique is the hunt for merchandise and the highs of the finds.

If trade shows seem intimidating to you, that’s what we’re here for! Join us inside Storefront Success™ where we will equip you with knowledge about the retail business, help you get clear on your vision for your store, set financial goals, and source products that your customers will crave.

Here is a list of Major U.S. Home & Fashion Trade Shows and International Home & Fashion Trade Shows you should attend in 2020.

Click the name of the trade show for boutique owners to be taken to the show website.

Note: when you see multiple shows in the same city and dates, it typically means that they are all near one another / in the same buildings so you can attend multiple shows at once.  Shows or events outside the United States are highlighted in burgundy text.

Make sure you download the FAVES app for buyers before you attend a trade show! You will thank me later, trust me!

***please note – due to COVID, many trade shows have cancelled their in-person experience and moved to showing digitally.  Click the name of the trade show for the latest updates***

What a wealth of information you’ve provided in this article. I was doing the opposite of everything you mentioned in the article. I would love your consulting services.
